The M.V.H.S. Chapter of USITT is comprised of a small group of technical theatre students who have shown themselves to be not only interested in but dedicated to the technology of theatre.
The chapter sponsors annual workshops in theatre technology for area high school students and faculty. Workshop topics have included lighting basics, sound reinforcement, scenic painting, theatrical rigging, theatre safety and theatrical makeup. Past workshop presenters have included Bill Sapsis (Rigging Skills), Richard Cadena (Moving Lights) and Rich Wolpert (Electrical Skills).

Radio Theatre
In 2001, the chapter along with Harrison High School (Evansville, IN) produced The Halloween Trilogy. The chapter teamed with Harrison again in 2002 to produce the Howard Koch adaptation of H.G. Welles', The War of the Worlds. The chapter produced the John de Lancie adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's, The Lost World with Evansville Signature School and teamed with them again in January 2005 for de Lancie's adaptation of Journey to the Center of the Earth.

Music Theatre
January of 2004 saw the chapter's first independently produced musical, Always...Patsy Cline, under the direction of Mt. Vernon alumnus Matthew Hermann. Always...Patsy Cline was revived for the winter of 2006 and served as a fundraiser for the benefit of USITT chapter members attending the Stage Expo in Louisville.
